New year - new chapter and some good news: Koehler Group COO Re-elected to the Board of Trustees of Hochschule Offenburg 🎓🚀 Dr. Stefan Karrer, Chief Operating Officer of the Koehler Group, has been re-elected to the Board of Trustees of Offenburg University of Applied Sciences. Karrer's term of office will run for another four years. The Board of Trustees was established in 1990 to advise Offenburg University of Applied Sciences on its development, while at the same time ensuring continued dialog between the University, business, and wider society. With student numbers of around 3,700 across its Offenburg and Gengenbach sites, Offenburg University of Applied Sciences represents a significant talent pool for companies in the Ortenau region and beyond to draw on. One key challenge for the Board of Trustees during this term of office lasting until 2027 will be to find ways to strategically promote the transfer of knowledge between the University, business, society, and politics. New cooperation structures and formats are being developed where innovation processes will be designed together in mutual discussion to help reinforce this transfer of knowledge. #koehler #paperforthefuture #innovation #sustainability #future

Yesterday, we at BITZER were awarded for our commitment to sustainability 🎉💚! We received the Sindolf business award in the special ‘Sustainability’ category for our future-oriented, sustainable operations and our investments in sustainable technologies. The award was presented to outstanding companies and entrepreneurs based in Sindelfingen for the first time by the city of Sindelfingen and Wirtschaftsförderung Sindelfingen GmbH, a business development company. The jury consisted of specialists and business leaders in Sindelfingen. ‘It means so much to us to receive this award. Since the company was founded nearly 90 years ago, we have been rooted in Sindelfingen and very closely connected to the city. For us as an international company in the field of refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump technology, sustainability is a global issue, anchored in various dimensions of our company’s DNA – in products, processes, investments, supply chains and the social arena,’ says Christian Wehrle. Last month, the White City Innovation District proudly hosted the #JawdropSummit, a landmark event in the life sciences sector. The summit highlighted the theme of #resilience, addressing it from various angles such as industry challenges, ageing, pandemics, and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). Among the 10 jaw-dropping moments, here are a few highlights: 1️⃣ Cooperation creates resilience: "For a municipality, resilience spans a host of issues.
