Business Newsletter
Dear Community,

If you strongly identify with your organization (think people working for Amazon referring to themselves as Amazonians as in their job description), you may be surprised to learn that it makes you less likely to recognize gender discrimination between colleagues. Since joining the KLU as Academic Director of Executive Education in December, we have brought the topics of diversity and inclusion to the forefront, adding social sustainability to our already central topic of environmental sustainability.

Further progress is made possible by new research projects as well as by new colleagues themselves. As the three newest members of the KLU faculty, we introduce ourselves and what we are passionate about as researchers in interviews. Other topics include the kick-off of the KRITIS project in which tools are developed to maintain critical infrastructures in the event of a crisis. A cooperation with Hamburger Tafel aims to optimize the logistics of donations. Additionally, a new generation of KLU graduates is ready to enter the business world and presents their knowledge and skills in the new KLU CV Book.

So, if you’re looking for the silver bullet to unlock all the potential in your diverse team – I wish I could say you’ll find it in this newsletter… but I can offer another option: come join the conversation on the topics of diversity and inclusion at KLU! Feel free to contact me on LinkedIn.

Yours,

Prof. Dr. Brooke Gazdag
Associate Professor of Management
Academic Director of Executive Education
